The price of Zcash hit a new threshold on September 4. ZEC climbed above one thousand dollars in session trading, reaching a peak of one thousand fifty dollars and seventy cents. The twenty-four-hour gain registered twenty percent. The monthly advance neared one hundred percent. The figure rose from three hundred four million six hundred thousand dollars on August 25. The Zcash holdings inside the fund climbed from three hundred eighty-seven thousand eight hundred forty-nine coins to four hundred twenty-eight thousand six hundred thirteen coins. Roughly forty million dollars in short positions across perpetual contracts received liquidation in the same window. Zcash futures open interest broke two billion dollars for the first time. Daily trading volume crossed six billion dollars. One year earlier the token traded near forty dollars. It has now re-entered the top ten cryptocurrencies by market capitalization. Privacy features could therefore gain renewed relevance. Regulatory and compliance concerns persist however because shielded transactions complicate sanctions screening and anti-money laundering controls. Bitcoin retains clear dominance in liquidity infrastructure and brand recognition. The ledger does not lie it only waits to be read.
